A good pair of jeans is a wise investment. And when you find the perfect fit, you may pay a premium price, and you want them to last.
These tips should lengthen the life of your perfect pair of jeans.
Wash Jeans Inside Out to Maintain the color. This is especially important with black and dark-colored denim. Additionally, try to avoid washing too many times. One wash per five to six wears is about right, unless of course there is a spill.
First Wash
The first time you wash your new jeans, add about a half cup of white vinegar and a pinch of baking soda to the washing machine. It should help prevent fading. Washing in cold water instead of hot also helps.
Hang or Lay Flat to Dry and make sure any flap pockets are buttoned and align the seams if you have a pair of wide-leg or bell-bottom jeans.
